Available from February, I will be able to offer a one day Operator Licence Awareness Training course [OLAT].
This course is jointly aimed at transport operators with a restricted operators licence, who don’t need a Transport Manager, but must still have a person responsible for compliance issues regarding the operation of goods vehicles. The course is a reminder of all the criteria that must be met in order to remain compliant and avoid any issues with the Transport Commissioner.

The course can also be applied to Drivers, and counts as 7 hours for their Driver CPC, as an insight into what their employers are up against in order to stay within the rules, and how, as drivers, they are able to help their company stay compliant.

The key objectives are :
To ensure a clear understanding of licence requirements and legal obligations.
To explain the application process, commitments, and record-keeping responsibilities.
To provide knowledge on key compliance measures, including risk scoring and maintaining a strong
compliance record.
To reinforce an understanding of working hours, tachograph regulations, and workforce agreements to
prevent breaches.
To highlight best practices in vehicle administration, maintenance, and record keeping for efficiency
and compliance.
To familiarise participants with relevant authorities, public enquiry processes, and the impact of
regulatory enforcement.
To ensure understanding of traffic regulations, vehicle approval, taxation, and plating requirements.
To equip individuals with practical strategies to maintain and improve compliance standards within
their operation.
